At the heart of the Cederberg region in South Africa, there is a beverage that cannot be found anywhere else in the world: rooibos. This tasty drink has a very characteristic copper red color.
The rooibos from “Grands thés des gourmets” combines the strength of flavor of Madagascan lemongrass, with the roundness of the rooibos, with a touch of ginger for added spice.
Rooibos is enjoyed hot during the winter, as well as iced in the summertime. Naturally theine-free, it is not a stimulant and can be drank throughout the day.
Thés de La Pagode® respects an age-old tradition to ensure that all the benefits of tea are preserved. Indeed, the quality and fragrance of a tea are determined, among other things, by the type of leaf picked. In spring, in the gardens of Thés de la Pagode®, the “Imperial Plucking” is practiced: the pluckers select only the bud (“Pekoe” in Mandarin) and the first leaf. Another technique used is “fine picking”. In this case, the pickers remove the bud and the first two leaves.
