Wormwood

Wormwood may have gained most of its notoriety as one of the active ingredients in the French spirit, Absinthe. However, this herb has long been used for it curative properties. It has been proven to treat malaria, fight cancer cells, and eliminate parasites. Its antimicrobial and antifungal properties also mean that it can fight bacteria, such as E. coli and salmonella, along with fungi, such as candida. When taken as an infusion or tea, it can be used as an energy tonic, while its pill form is best for treating intestinal bugs. However, caution should be taken when using this potent herb and it should not be used for more than four weeks or at a higher than recommend dose, which can lead to side effects including nausea, vomiting, insomnia, tremors, and seizures.
