Monoi

Monoi comes from the Tahitian word meaning “scented oil” and is known for its warm, musky, floral fragrance. It has long been used by French Polynesians as a skin and hair softener. Monoi oil is often used as a hair moisturizer and is known to restore dry, damaged hair while controlling frizz. It is also a great skin moisturizer because of its methyl salicylate content and is a skin protectant that softens the skin, without clogging pores. Its anti-inflammatory properties mean that monoi oil can fight redness and inflammation, as well as relieve the symptoms of psoriasis and acne.
