Frankincense
Frankincense essential oil is sourced from the resin of the Boswellia carterii tree that grows in Somalia and Pakistan. Frankincense has a warm fragrance that smells like a combination of pine, citrus, and woody scents. It can be used in either aromatherapy or by applying it topically to the skin. When inhaled, frankincense oil has been shown to lower blood pressure and heart rate, reduce anxiety and depression, and generally control negative emotions. It is also an antimicrobial and disinfectant that can be used in place of chemical household cleaners.
